GemPeak Financial began with a simple observation: many business owners work incredibly hard yet remain uncertain about cash flow, profitability, and what their financial reports mean for their next steps.

Ruby Lupien founded GemPeak to provide established small business owners with strategic financial leadership grounded in practical insight. With more than 18 years of experience across U.S. and international markets, she has worked at the intersection of finance and operations and understands how delayed bookkeeping and unclear reporting can create pressure and limit effective decision-making.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Boise State University, where she graduated cum laude and earned Dean’s List recognition. She is an affiliate member of the Construction Financial Management Association and serves on the Board of Directors of Global Lounge, a nonprofit dedicated to cultural preservation, education, integration, and community development.

Ruby’s professional background spans banking and insurance, where she translated complex financial information into forecasting, performance analysis, risk planning, and decision-ready reporting.

 

Today, Ruby leads GemPeak Financial as a Fractional CFO. Her disciplined, practical approach provides business owners with greater visibility into financial performance, stronger reporting, and informed plans for growth.

Ruby has called Idaho home for many years, and the Gem State inspired the firm’s name. She has been happily married for 19 years and is a proud mom of two. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, writing poetry, cooking to a mix of salsa, classic rock, and country music, and exploring Idaho with her family.
