GemPeak Financial began with a simple observation: many business owners work incredibly hard, yet still feel uncertain about cash flow, profitability, and what their reports are really showing.
GemPeak was founded by Ruby Lupien to change that experience.
With 20+ years of experience across international and U.S. markets, she has worked where operations and finance meet and has seen how delayed bookkeeping and unclear reporting add pressure, create surprises, and make it harder for owners to move forward with confidence.
She holds a BBA in Finance with a minor in Accounting from Boise State University (Cum Laude), earned Dean’s List recognition, and is an affiliate member of CFMA, reflecting a continued focus on construction financial management best practices.
Her professional background is shaped by banking and insurance. As a commercial credit analyst, loan underwriter, and data manager, she helped turn complex financial information into clear forecasting, performance tracking, and decision-ready reporting. Her work also included industry research and risk-focused planning to help leaders evaluate opportunities with more confidence. In insurance business development, she worked closely with business owners to clarify priorities and risk considerations.
Today, Ruby leads GemPeak Financial as a Fractional CFO, providing strategic financial leadership supported by strong financial systems. Her approach is disciplined and practical, helping owners improve visibility, strengthen reporting, and plan for growth.
Outside of work, her story is centered on family, Idaho, and continued growth. She has been happily married for 19 years and is a proud mom of two. She built her life in Idaho and drew inspiration from the Gem State when naming the firm. She enjoys reading and audiobooks, writing poetry, and cooking while listening to salsa, classic rock, or country music. Her family loves exploring Idaho’s outdoors, and she continues building her skills while experiencing more of what Idaho has to offer.
