GemPeak Financial is proud to recognize Catherine Loo, owner and manager of HC Tile LLC, as the winner of the Entrepreneur Mom Spotlight Giveaway. This recognition highlights Catherine’s leadership inside a growing family business built on craftsmanship, operational discipline, and a long-term vision for the next generation.
Catherine’s story reflects the responsibility many entrepreneur moms carry every day: supporting a business, leading through growth, staying connected to family priorities, and making decisions that shape the future of the company.

From Legal Training To Business Leadership
Before HC Tile LLC became part of Catherine’s daily work, she built a professional foundation in Peru through law, academic administration, and public-sector auditing. That experience gave her more than credentials. It trained her to evaluate information carefully, respect process, communicate with intention, and approach decisions with discipline. In a growing company, those habits become business assets, especially when the work requires trust, coordination, and consistency across multiple projects.
At HC Tile LLC, Catherine’s background adds structure to a business rooted in craftsmanship. Her leadership reflects the same qualities that shaped her earlier career: precision, responsibility, and the ability to think through details before problems arise. It adds a professional layer to the company’s growth story and shows how experience from one field can become a strength in another.
Growing HC Tile LLC in the Treasure Valley
HC Tile LLC specializes in high-end tile installation, porcelain, and surface finishes for residential and commercial projects. Led by Catherine and her husband, Henry Vilcapoma, the company began with a small team and has grown to approximately 30 employees.
Today, HC Tile serves projects in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Middleton, McCall, and nearby areas. Their growth reflects a combination of Henry’s hands-on industry experience, Catherine’s operational leadership, and a shared commitment to detailed, high-quality work.
The Heart of a Family Business
HC Tile LLC is part of a larger family vision. Catherine leads alongside Henry, and their family is connected to the business in meaningful ways. Jason Vilcapoma, Henry’s oldest son, already supports the company through logistics. Henry’s two younger sons are not yet old enough to work in the business, but they remain part of the future Catherine and Henry are building. Their daughter, Abbie, is also growing up surrounded by the example of work, responsibility, and determination.
For Catherine and Henry, the business is not only about current growth. It is also about showing their children what can be built through discipline, effort, and commitment.
Catherine’s Role in Daily Operations
Catherine’s role sits at the center of the company’s administrative and operational structure. Her work connects the office, the field, the team, suppliers, and client expectations.
Her responsibilities include:
Project Coordination: Keeping project details, timelines, materials, and communication organized so work can move forward with consistency.
Administrative Structure: Supporting estimates, invoices, insurance coordination, documentation, and planning that help protect the business and maintain professional standards.
Operational Follow-Through: Staying close to the details that affect quality, timing, materials, and the client experience.
Her hands-on involvement in these areas demonstrates her strong leadership and commitment to detail. Catherine’s ability to juggle these responsibilities while leading a growing team is a testament to her discipline and passion for entrepreneurship.

The Business Lesson Behind Catherine’s Story
When asked what she would tell others who are thinking about starting a business, Catherine’s message was practical: believe in yourself, do not be afraid to begin, and understand that challenges are part of the process.
Her experience points to a clear business lesson:
Growth requires courage, structure, and the willingness to keep learning.
A business can begin with skill and ambition, but long-term growth depends on planning, communication, leadership, and the ability to ask for support when needed. Catherine also emphasized the importance of celebrating each achievement, even the small ones, because every step matters when building something from the ground up. Her interview included this message about perseverance, discipline, passion, asking for help, and celebrating each achievement.
